At Native Hope Media we honor the indigenous oral tradition of storytelling.
Our original and client focused work adheres to our core values of representation, the dismantling of barriers, and our belief in the fundamental power of storytelling to inspire change.
We are a subsidiary of Native Hope - a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We work closely with our parent organization in the identification of projects, initiatives, and partners throughout development and production.
We are driven by a desire to create lasting relationships with our clients and viewers that align with our values and greater mission.
We collaborate with organizations, institutions, brands, and partners to craft meaningful content that can impact not only the lives of Native American youth but a wide and diverse audience.
Language, tradition, art, ceremonies, honoring the past, and family. These elements aren’t just parts of our lives; they form our identity and they underpin the work that we take on and develop as a team.
We believe that the tradition of storytelling can impact change now more than ever. Native Hope Media is the natural evolution of that belief.
NMSL is a yearlong program for selected resident artists who work closely with the Native Hope Media team and select mentors and industry professionals to develop and produce carefully vetted projects for multi-platform Distribution.
Our inaugural class of residents will be announced soon and is comprised of a diverse slate of documentary and narrative filmmakers whose projects represent a wide cross-section of content form and subjects.
By participating in the Storyteller Lab, residents are awarded an upfront stipend, access to facilities and in-kind tools, and an open-door policy with Native Hope Media staff and specifically engaged mentors and Advisors.
Advisors will include professionals both above and below the line including directors, producers, and writers as well as industry executives such as managers, executive producers, and agents.
